Column Properties

The Column Properties command shows you the underlying values in the highlighted cells of a column.

The following information is displayed:

  • The raw column value.
  • The column type. This is typically Double for numbers, Text for characters and double for dates. The word Double is derived from the phrase "Double precision floating point number".
  • The number of decimals detected in the data.
  • The formula. If the cell is the result of a formula then the formula is displayed otherwise the formula is simply the cell's value.
  • The format used by Excel to display the cell.
